More rebuy tournament tips
When you guys play at poker stars you have to pay attention to my rebuy tournament tips!
Just yesterday I’m playing in a WCOOP satellite with rebuys.
The guy next to me: pohkherface busted out at least twice and rebought. He also rebought during the break.
Thats at least 3 rebuys! I probably didn’t even get them all as I wasn’t on his table the entire time. My guess is he probably rebought 4 or 5 times!
Now if he knew he had enough money to rebuy at least 3 times, why did he rebuy in such a silly manner?
He’d bust out. Then rebuy only T$1500. In a matter of a few hands he’d go all in and bust out again. Again he’d rebuy only T$1500 chips.
Remember what I told you in my previous post about rebuy tournaments at poker stars? You can rebuy as long as you have $1500 chips. So if you bust out and buy $1500… simply wait one hand and rebuy another $1500.
Then you’d have T$3000 and you’d be in a much better position. You wouldn’t be short stacked you could actually afford to wait on a better hand or wait until you have position to make a move on the pot.
Instead PohkherFace was rebuying $1500 over and over again. Why wouldn’t he rebuy $3000 at once if he knew he had the money to simply keep rebuying the minimum over and over again?
Isn’t it smarter to rebuy twice on successive hands and have T$3000 than simply T$1500? Don’t you have a better of chance when you have T3000 and your opponents have T4000-5000? T1500 is a short stack at the table, I don’t understand buying the minimum over and over? It just doesn’t make any sense. He ended up buying in at least 3 times that I saw. If he had been smarter about it he could have bought them in all at once and put himself in a much better position to play some serious poker.
Guess what? PohkherFace still did better than me. He came in 48 out of 318. I only placed 73rd. I guess maybe I should ask him to write articles for this Blog! LOL.
