Poker Tournament for Hurricane Katrina Relief
Hey guys!
Wil Wheaton the television celebrity, author, blogger, and poker player has offered to put together a charity poker tournament to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Wil has a good relationship with the folks at poker stars (they even sponsored him in this years World Series of Poker.) poker stars thought it was a good idea. They just announced they will hold several “freeze out” style tournaments. poker stars will MATCH 100% of the entry fees from the tournaments and these will all be donated to the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
September 12th 9:30 pm EST – $5+0 entry tournament
September 14th 9:30 pm EST – $20+0 entry tournament
September 15th 9:30 pm EST – $50+0 entry tournament
September 16th 9:30 pm EST – $100+0 entry tournament
Keep in mind this is a charity tournament. All the entry fees will be going to charity, plus poker stars will match 100% of the fees.
However pokerstars will be giving out special prizes to all the top finishers. In addition all the members of the final tables will get autographed copies of Wil’s book. Plus Wil is talking about offering bounties on his head in all the tournaments too.

I’m will be playing on the 12th and 14th and if time permits I may play on the 15th and 16th too!
