Poker Blogs

I put up some links on the right to Cool Poker Sites. Well not all are about Poker.

The $10,000 project is a guy who is trying to build up a $10,000 poker stake. He must not have a job. I don’t know what the heck he does for a living because he seems to play poker all the time. It doesn’t really give much strategy but it does have bits of strategy as he learns to build his stake.

Chicks Dig Poker Geeks is a guy who has a job but enjoys playing poker and is learning to play both in real casinos and online. He seems like a pretty cool guy. I like the fact that he keeps a log of his progress. He is starting from nothing and trying to work his way up to $1000. He gives actuall details of hands he faces in his tournaments. It is kinda cool. You can tell he is a writer because he puts together some cool stories of his experiences.

HOWEVER TheFilmGeek as he is called has completely ruined my opinion of him. He has become a shill for an online casino. He is what they call a prop. His job is to play poker in the casino and keep the other players playing. That way the casino makes a bunch of money on the rake. One of the reasons I like to play at Poker Stars is because they admit their are such shills in the casino industry. They do NOT utilize such strategies to steal your money away from you.

Finally I want to point you to Wil Wheaton .Net. You might recognize the name. He is an author, a celebrity, and a poker player. He is a pretty good writer and I enjoy reading his blog. Plus he digs poker and science fiction and all this other stuff that I’m into. My wife actually thinks he and I are a lot a like.

Thats all for now. I’m about to play some poker!
